Paul Wolfe shelter campsite to Stanimals Hostel in Waynesboro- 4.4 miles hiked today - 864.4 total AT miles hiked to date.
Hiked to Rockfish Gap this morning where Pilgrim from Stanimal’s Hostel picked me up and took me to the hostel. Hiking was slow as both my knee and my foot were still a little sore from yesterday’s tumble. I took it easy for the short hike, and was relieved to be at the hostel by lunchtime. It had been 8 days since the last R&R stop in Dalesville, and I was in dire need of a shower and laundry.
Although the hike was short, I did see a couple of interesting sights, the old Lowe’s cemetery and and old homestead. Both were right on the trail.
I’ll be off the trail for at least a couple of days to rest and recuperate, but expect to be hiking again in a couple of days.
